Berlin has three main airports:
1 – TXL - Berlin International Airport (Tegel Airport)
2 – SXF – Berlin Brandeburg Airport (Schönefeld Airport)
3 – THF - Tempelhof Airport
TXL – BERLIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Tegel Airport)
One of the main airports in Berlin is Berlin International Airport (Tegel Airport). It’s located about 8 Km from Berlin city centre. It has one terminal designed for maximum convenience. In its interior there are post offices, shops and information points.
Reach Berlin by JetExpressBus TXL (Bus)
The new and exclusive JetExpressBus TXL, from the BVG, Berlins public transport network, brings you quickly and comfortably from Tegel Airport right to the heart of the old-new city an back. The new service runs every ten minutes from early in the morning until late in the evening connecting the airport with the government district, Unter den Linden/Glinkastrasse and U Französische Strasse. It stops at only a few main stations, where you can transfer easily to Berlin's extensive underground, S-Bahn train and bus network. Timetable: between 6.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs ever 15 minutes, from 19.00 hrs till 23.00 hrs every 20 minutes. Saturdays 6.00 hrs till 23.00 hrs every 20 minutes, sundays 6.00 hrs till 14.00 hrs every 20 minutes. On sundays between 14.00 hrs and 18.00 hrs the bus operates every 15 minutes, after that till 23.00 hrs every 20 minutes again.
Departing daily from Berlin city centre from the underground station U Alexanderplatz at 5.23 am (Sa and Su at 5.27 am). The last bus departures from the airport at 23.05 hrs.
The trip duration is between 28 and 40 minutes from the airport to the Alexanderplatz (depending on the time of day).
TEMPELHOF AIRPORT
Tempelhof Airport is the oldest airport in Berlin and is also the least busy of the three. It is located at only 5 km from the city centre, close to Kreuzberg and Tempelhof and it’s used mostly for flights within Europe.

The easiest way to get to the centre of Berlin from Tempelhof Airport is by U-Bahn (Underground) from Platz der Luftbrücke station.
Reach Berlin by Bus
Another easy way to get to the centre of Berlin from Tempelhof Airport is by Bus number 119 that will bring you to Kurfürstendamm.
SXF – BERLIN BRANDEBURG AIRPORT (Schönefeld Airport)
Another airport in Berlin is Berlin Brandenburg Airport (Schönefeld Airport). It’s located about 24 Km-south from Berlin city centre. It is used above all for flights from East Europe.
Reach Berlin by Airport Express SXF (Bus)
An AirportExpress bus runs between the Berlin-Zoologischer Garten station and Schönefeld in 31 minutes, and you can also reach the airport by S-Bahn and a terminal shuttle bus. Berlin-Zoologischer Garten station to Schönefeld station in just 31 minutes with the AirportExpress. You'll come across large information posters and new appropriate pictograms in the main halls of the larger Berlin stations showing the way to the right train. There are even special waiting areas for the AirportExpress. There you can glean information regarding train departure times and important service numbers. A terminal map points the quickest way to your flight. There's little time to finish off that crossword puzzle during the break. At Schönefeld station, a distant plane will guide you along in the right direction. Better still, follow the pictogram on the pavement that leads you to the bus-stop. The bus will drive to the terminal in a few minutes.
